Learning occurs in the child's natural environment and they can practice skills in the comfort of their home, with their own familiar toys and games. We can also build learning into your existing routines and make working on speech goals a seamless part of your day. It can also be a convenient way to receive speech services and reduce the stress of commuting on both parents and children!

We offer speech and language therapy and evaluations in the home, as well as in participating private schools and daycare programs if needed. We specialize in Early Intervention through elementary school-aged speech and language therapy. Parent education and counseling are built into every session as well.

We primarily work with children from 18 months to 10 years old. However, there is no age range for articulation-only services.

PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) is a specialized, evidence-based approach for treating childhood apraxia of speech and complex articulation disorders. It uses tactile-kinesthetic cues - gentle touch on the face and jaw - to help children feel how sounds are made, not just hear them.

Athena is PROMPT Level 1 trained. Whether PROMPT is appropriate for your child depends on their specific diagnosis and needs, which we'd assess during an evaluation. We accept clients of all ages for articulation disorders.

We do not, but we accept the Step Up scholarship and private pay. We can provide you with a superbill to be reimbursed by your insurance as an out-of-network provider if you have out-of-network benefits.

You will receive same day or next day response to your inquiry. Once you get in contact with the therapist, an evaluation can be scheduled between 2 days and 1 week after contact! Sessions can usually start a week after the evaluation. There is no waitlist at this time.
